DALSA icon Rad Imaging Division introduced Helios10 MD 20 x 25 cm Medical Imaging Group
CHICAGO, IL – (Marketwire – November April 30 2009) – RSNA 2009 – Booth # 7117 – DALSA Corporation (TSX: DSA), through its Division of Rad-icon Imaging, today announced the general availability Helios10 MDpanel of the Helios company's first product family new camera. With an active area of 20 x 25 cm, the MD Helios10 is the first X-Ray DALSA panel CMOS of this size and form factor, a medical degree cassette package with an integrated handle. MD Helios10 panel is designed to meet stringent to image a wide variety of medical imaging applications such as full field digital mammography, general radiography, bone densitometry, and other portable digital radiography (DR) applications. DALSA will present the Helios10 MD RSNA 2009 Annual Meeting the Radiological Society of North America, held at McCormick Place in Chicago, at booth # 7117 (North Building, Room B) from November 29 to 4 December 2009.
The panel is Helios10 MD by terrain tiles proven Rad RadEye100 large-area icon (VLA) of CMOS image sensors for a total area of active detection 8 "x 10" (20 x 25 cm), while maintaining a good image resolution Exceptional with a pixel size of only 96 um. The active-pixel CMOS photodiode center line of the Helios Group consists of more than five million individual pixels that convert the light emitted by the scintillation screen integrated into an electrical signal. The low noise detector, 14-bit digital output images clear-cut ideal for applications in medical radiology. The panel is packaged in custom molded housing with a form factor thin ribbon handle integrated. Designed with mobile imaging applications in mind, the panel weighs less than 3 kg and easily with one hand. Other features include:
– The current state of the art GigE interface connects to the laptop or PC via standard Ethernet cable fiber optic – CMOS low-noise active pixel sensor and 14-bit scanning results in excellent sensitivity and high dynamic range – increases the proprietary technology of fiber optics and DQE improves life of the detector at energies up to 160 kV – low power CMOS design consumes less than 10 W, and – for the resistance to plastic molded case with integrated handle is ready for the clinic.
MD panel Helios10 is optimized for images at 160 kV for medical applications such as general radiography, mobile / handheld systems X and X-ray mammography.
